THUNDER'S EMINGER GARNERS AILF CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOD

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach Thunder placekicker Andy Eminger was named the American Indoor Football League Southern Conference special teams player of the week, it was announced today.

Eminger connected on all eight point-after attempts and made the team’s first field goal of the season as the Thunder stomped the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers 61-34 Saturday night at PBS 15 Field at the Ocean Center.

He was an AIFL all-star last season for the Canton Legends. In his Thunder debut against Rome, Eminger registered a one-point rouge when he placed a kickoff through the uprights that gave Daytona Beach an early lead.

"We finally have the kicking game right," said Daytona Beach head coach Ervin Bryson. "Andy’s definitely made an impact on the team."

The Thunder (4-4) hosts the Augusta Spartans (2-5) Saturday night at 7 p.m.
