Holiday Wishes - Dec 10

In an effort to help families in need this holiday season, What's Happening Daytona Media, Inc. and Operation Backpack are currently collecting school supplies and small toys for children in Volusia and Flagler Counties. On December 10, 2005, from 1pm to 3pm, we will be hosting a fun-filled family event where a raffle ticket will be given for every school supply/small toy that is donated. Prizes will be given away throughout the afternoon.

Items needed include: three prong/two pocket notebooks, spiral notebooks, marble composition books, wide ruled paper, packs of colored pencils, 24-count boxes of crayons, pencils, pencil cap erasers, bottles of white glue, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, rulers, supply boxes, boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer, small toys and gift certificates for clothes (Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Target, etc.).

Sponsor a Basket
We are currently seeking local businesses to set up baskets at their establishments to collect the school supplies and small toys. What you get: the business that collects the most will receive a lunch for up to ten employees at Uno Chicago Grill ®. You will also receive three months of free advertising on What’s Happening Daytona (3,000 page views a month). Your company logo (small) will appear on the site event page and all print materials used to promote the event.

Sponsor a Prize
We also need prizes for both children and adults to be given away to the winners of the raffle ticket drawings. What you get for donating a prize: you will receive three months of free advertising on What’s Happening Daytona (3,000 page views a month). Your company logo (small) will appear on the site event page and all print materials used to promote the event.

For sponsoring both a basket and a prize you will receive three months of free advertising on What’s Happening Daytona (5,000 page views a month) and your company logo (large) will appear on the site event page and all print materials used to promote the event.
