DBCC's Symphonic Band set for wicked performance, Oct. 19

Performing select numbers from the hit Broadway musical, Wicked, the Daytona Beach Community College Symphonic Band makes its seasonal debut Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Conducted by Peter Waidelich at DBCC's Theater Center, 1200 W. International Speedway, the 60-plus piece Symphonic Band will bring Broadway to Daytona Beach with music by Stephen Schwartz.

The performance is open to the public and tickets may be purchased for $5 Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the DBCC Box Office in the lobby of the Theater Center (220). Everyone with a valid DBCC I. D. card may pick up one free ticket at the Box Office. For additional information, call (386) 506-3042.

The performing arts programs at Daytona Beach Community College prepare students for a future in music, drama and dance while also providing entertainment opportunities for the community through a variety of events produced each semester. Proceeds from tickets are used to support the Performing Arts Scholarship program at DBCC.

For more information visit our Web site at www.dbcc.edu or call the Box Office at (386) 506-3042.
