Read so much about this place I'm convinced the reviews were written by family or someone with a financial stake in this place. Took my Dad here for his birthday and I wanted to hide in shame. The hotel borders on a dump. The lobby is all torn apart with construction and unsafe floors, we almost slipped several times. There was no one at the front desk. The hostess couldn't be bothered and we had to be seated by a busboy. The view to the ocean was magnificent, but that was it. The black bean soup came from a can and had no flavor. The rib eye was tough and looked like it had been frozen for about a month. My mothers scallops were mediocre at best. My Dad ordered the bistec and it took 10 minutes to tell us there was no more. Oh, and this was after 15 minutes...I counted...waiting for a waitress. The bread with the meal was a loaf of something and barely warm. The pre-meal salad was lettuce tossed into a bowl. The yellow rice stuck together like it was glued. The ONLY thing that was even passable was the key lime pie, which I can only guess must have been brought in from someplace else. The bathrooms? A unisex one that was under construction and filthy. This was an embarassing experience and the only people who should eat here are those coming in right off the beach who want to get drunk and eat bar food. I am very serious about whomever has been writing good reviews about this place because it was awful. STAY AWAY!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
