Louie's Pizza House
One of the Area's Best Kept Secrets
2005-08-17
Article Written by: Sami Jo

A Daytona secret, Louie's Pizza House is well worth the drive from Port Orange or Ormond Beach. Located on Beville Rd., just east of Clyde Morris, Louie's is open six days a week for lunch and dinner (closed Sundays). While the pizza house may be widely unknown to those outside their surrounding neighborhood, they have been known well enough to celebrate 25 years in business. The small Italian restaurant serves up much more than just great pizza.

Louie's offers lunch specials daily and dinner specials three times a week. Even without the specials, the prices can't be beat. All the pasta dishes are less that $10 each and come with salads and garlic bread. In addition to pizza, pasta, and salads, they have appetizers, wings, subs, gyros, stromboli, calzones, and desserts. To drink, they offer beer and wine in addition to soda, coffee, tea, and milk.

For those of you who don't get a chance to read the morning paper, you can catch up on the news during lunch. A TV that can be seen by almost every table in the restaurant shows national news throughout the day. Also, to occupy your time while you wait for your food, they have trivia cards at each table. A private room that seats up to 50 people is available for birthday parties, sports team parties, and office parties.

Virtual Tour:
As you enter the private party room sits off to the right and regular dining is to the left. The tablecloths are red and white in true Italian restaurant fashion. After you seat yourself, you will see the menu right in front of you under the glass top table. Trivia cards sit with the condiments at each table.

Affordability:
Free delivery. Pizza's are less than $11 depending on the quantity of toppings you order; specialty pizzas are $16 and less; pasta dishes are less that $10 each and come with salads and garlic bread.

Best Time to Visit:
Lunches have the tendency to get a little busy, so try to go at 11:30 am or 12:30 pm to avoid the Noon rush.

Recommended Menu Item:
Pepperoni Stromboli

Getting There and Parking:
They are located in Foxboro Plaza on Beville Rd., just east of Clyde Morris on the south side of the street. The parking lot is not huge, but there are some spaces right in front of the restaurant that are for customers only.

Other Info:
Kid friendly.

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Thursday 11 am-10 pm; Friday 11 am-11 pm; Saturday Noon-11 pm; Sunday-Closed.
