Two words come to mind when trying to describe Connect Café: delightfully charming. The gourmet coffee and tea house offers much more than caffeine. With a relaxing atmosphere, owners Ron and Diane have successfully created "A place where anyone can come and enjoy life 'Sip by Sip'."
The non-overpowering smell of fresh coffee beans fills the air of the café. They offer everything from cups of regular or decaf to espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and mocha. For those of you who don't fluently speak the coffee language, they provide a chart describing the differences of each. For the non-coffee drinkers, they also offer tea, soda, hot chocolate, and smoothies.
In addition to their drink selection, they also offer a wide variety of menu items for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast they offer bagels, croissants, English muffins, pastries, and an assortment of muffins. For lunch they offer daily soup specials, salads, sandwiches, and more. A choice of desserts and a wide variety of snack items are also available. Pick-up orders can be placed and catering service is available for business functions, wedding receptions, and parties.
What would a place called Connect Café be without connecting you? Bring your laptop and use their wireless connection or let them patch you into their system. Don't have a laptop? They have two computers available for you to use. They have excellent rates and even offer weekly and monthly memberships.
As if that's not enough, they also have gifts and entertainment for your enjoyment. Purchase anything from coffee grinders and mugs to t-shirts. Entertainment includes live music, improv comedy, and art shows. The service is not only friendly, it supercedes many expectations. Connect Café is a great place to catch up with an old friend or to sit and read a good book while enjoying the treat of your choice.
Virtual Tour: As you approach, you'll come across the outside tables suitable for the Floridian's enjoyment of the outdoors. Inside, couches and a recliner greet you. High-top and regular tables are also available to match any comfort style.
The Atmosphere: Quiet and comfortable, the Café feels like home with the furniture and art on the walls.
Recommended Menu Item: The roasted garlic tomato soup that is served on Wednesdays.
Affordability: Prices are very reasonable.
Getting There and Parking: Located in the Shoppes at Beville, on the corner of Beville and Clyde Morris. Connect Café is just left of Powerhouse Gym. Plenty of parking is available at the shopping center.
Other Info: Open Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-6:00 pm; Friday 7:00 am-10:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am-6:00 pm. Closed Sundays. Accepts credit cards with a minimum purchase of $5.
