REMEMBERING THOSE WHO SERVE
For the eighth consecutive year, St. Mark By the Sea Lutheran Church in Palm Coast, Florida will pay special tribute to the men and women of our nation’s Armed Forces with an Armed Forces Recognition Service on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.
Our service men and women have responded to a special calling, serving during peacetime and wartime. They served during armed conflict, on peacekeeping missions, even responding in times of natural disasters, and presently serve in the Middle East conflict. These soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines are most deserving of our thanks and prayers.
This celebration will include special music, prayers for our military and veterans support organizations, and a memorial candle-lighting ceremony for all who have given their lives in service of our country. Honored guests will include color guards and uniformed members of the Armed Forces and local veteran support groups, along with local and state public officials.
You are cordially invited to join us in this patriotic salute.
St. Mark By the Sea Lutheran Church is located at 303 Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast. We are located east of I-95 just past the SunTrust Bank, on the left. For more information on the Armed Forces Recognition Service, contact the church office at 386/445-3420.
