The Central and North Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has partnered with the Volusia-Flagler Jewish community to open the Gently Used Furniture and Thrift Store located at 801 Mason Avenue. The 6,500-square-foot store is now open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during weekdays and Sundays. Also if you would like to donate items to our thrift store, they will pick up anywhere in Central Florida FREE of charge. The new thrift store features a wide variety of quality items at good prices, with profits benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, Jewish Charities and the Jewish Federation, which is a United Way agency that helps people of all backgrounds. The store also has a section dedicated to the Alzheimer’s Association where information and materials regarding support groups, educational programs and a variety of services may be obtained. The Central and North Florida Chapter services over 400,000 caregivers and 100,000 individuals affected by Alzheimer’s and related diseases. For more information call 386-253-7999.
