A great neighborhood beer and wine bar. Nothing fancy about this place -- just friendly customers and bartenders who welcome newcomers. Reasonable prices, nice cold draft. TVs show NASCAR and other sports. Frequent free buffets on Sundays. Don't miss their spring Bicycle Poker Run that starts noon May 2, going to 3-4 other bars within a mile's radius on Ridgewood.

Ooops! Slight correction on the Bicycle Poker Run at Sarge's Village Tavern. Correct date is SAT., May 3rd, starting at noon. Spaghetti dinner at 4, karaoke at 7 p.m.
