Caffee Da Vinci is a great place to just hang out on a Saturday afternoon too. No live entertainment during the afternoon (at least not regularly scheduled), but it is quiet enough to bring the kids to. The bar is open, the stage is open, there is plenty to keep the kids (even as young as 4) entertained while you sit back in the completely shadded courtyard and sip on a beer or glass or wine and just enjoy the shadded Florida weather. Everything is ecclectic. Everything is interesting. We have often just struck up conversation with others there. The demographics of the clientel is very wide ranging and you will not often find anyone there like you, unless you bring them with you. Talk to local artists. Talk with business men. Chat with a local waitress or a flight attendant from a foreign airline. We have seen it all. In the evenings, particularly on weekends and when things are happening in downtown DeLand, the live entertainment is second to none in the area. Our neighbor, the metal chic and my wife the decidedly NOT METAL CHIC, really enjoy just hanging out for hours at the caffee.

Generally good place to get entertainment. Very rustic look with live sounding room. When people are talking it is hard to hear the band above the din. Some of the bands play very loud and then you are not bothered by the talking, just the loud music. The drink prices are good, but the cover charge is something other places don't charge. So if you drink enough, you don't mind the cover charge. The musical groups are good to excellent. The outside area is large and a good area for talking and smoking if you enjoy that sort of thing. WiFi connection is good for us techies. Overall a good place to hang.

One of DeLand's best kept secrets. A large outdoor courtyard, a bar serving beers, wines, and coffees/espresso and snacks and an indoor room with tables & chairs with a small stage for acts ranging from Wednesdays DJ Night, Thursday Open Mic with Magda Hiller hosting (get there early 7:30PM to sign up, the list fills up quickly most Thursdays), Fri. & Sat. various touring acts with access at showtime usually $5 sometimes $10. Relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful place to unwind. Wi-Fi inner room.

Cafe Da Vinci's is probably one of the best hang out places here in DeLand. Offering a great bar, large outddor area, live music Thursday thru Sunday and open late! I really enjoy going on Thursday nights, The Cafe features live music from local musicians... pretty much a glorified open mic setup... all styles of music are welcome, each act gets a 20 minute set. I love to go here and just sit back with my friends and relax. A+
