Mai Tai Bar
Aloha!

Article Written by: Sami Jo

“When the sun goes down, we'll be grooving!  When the sun goes down, we'll be feeling all right.  When the sun sinks down over the water, everything gets hotter when the sun goes down!”  This Kenny Chesney and Uncle Cracker duet serves as an excellent reminder of how lucky we are to be Floridians.  There’s nothing better than ending a hard day’s work – or starting off a long night of play – than heading to the beach for a drink.  Daytona’s Mai Tai Bar provides a Hawaiian style atmosphere, live entertainment daily and an intoxicating Happy Hour seven days a week.

Happy Hour: The Mai Tai Bar Happy Hour is Monday – Saturday from 9 pm to 1 am and includes Miller Lite pitchers for $4, well and house wines for $2 and specialty drinks at $3-$3.50.

Hula Hour: Visiting the Mai Tai Bar is like going on a brief vacation and who wants to settle for a vacation that only has a Happy Hour when this Hawaiian-style getaway has a Hula Hour?  Hula Hour is from 4-7 pm weekdays and includes half-price Bud Light, Rain Vodka specialty drinks, and $5 appetizers.

Virtual Tour:  Located in the Ocean Walk Shoppes, The Mai Tai Bar overlooks the Bandshell and the World’s Most Famous Beach.  With both indoor and outdoor seating, one can either enjoy the visuals of one of their flat-screen TV’s or the view of the ocean as the daylight disappears.

The Atmosphere:  The Hawaiian ambiance of the Mai Tai Bar is chill and relaxing during the day and picks up in the evening with live entertainment nightly.  Its prime location attracts a great deal of both locals and tourists.

Recommended Menu Item: The Aloha Tini, the Mai Tai’s splendid version of an AMF.

Getting There and Parking:  The Mai Tai Bar is located at 250 N. Atlantic Ave., in the Ocean Walk Shoppes, on A1A between Main Street and Seabreeze Blvd.  Parking is available in the garage across the street; the garage provides a covered walkway on the second level.

Other Info: Clearwire provides wireless internet, so feel free to take your laptop and get some work done while relaxing with a nice cold beverage and overlooking the sea.
