Lyn Ze Bond, the lead singer and guitarist for the band Ze Bond Rocks, recently passed from a massive stroke. For over a decade she toured expansively, touching the lives of others everywhere she went. The remaining member of Ze Bond Rocks, Rachel (RC) was kind enough to set aside some time and tell us more.

It all started when Lyn took up her guitar in her late teenage years. Inspired by The Beatles, Lynard Skynard, and others, she decided to gather a troop of other like-minded individuals and tour as much as possible. She decided to travel the world as a rock star, and so she did. Her personality was magnetic and full of life. Her lyrics were passionately expressive, and her guitar playing was everything rock and more.
In the summer of two thousand one, Rachel met Lyn through the Musician's Union in Orlando. Previously from Miami, Rachael has been playing drums all her life, and singing for about ten years. Looking for a serious band that was ready to get moving and tour the world, she found the perfect partner in Lyn. They found a bass player, but circumstances drew the third member away, and Rachel and Lyn remained.
Ze Bond Rocks refused to let circumstances keep them from doing what they wanted most, and though many doubted they could pull it off as just a two piece ensemble, their desire to achieve was only fed that much more. Having performed with such acts as Warrant, Tesla, Molly Hatchet, Def Leppard, and Pat Traverse, I would say they did a pretty good job. Other bands they performed with are Dr. Hook, The Charlie Daniels Band, Foghat, and Classic Southern Rockers. They have performed in L.A., Texas, England, and Amsterdam. They have recorded two CD's, and their list of past achievements go on further with radio interviews, radio broadcasted benefit shows, and radio play in the United States and overseas. All of this with no management, Ze Bond Rocks did it all themselves. Impressive.
Currently, Rachel is working hard to help keep Lyn's dream alive. You can help by spreading the word about Ze Bond Rocks. Many people will be honoring Lyn Ze Bond for a long time still to come. Many will never forget how her example touched their lives.

Life is a journey of unexpected turns. I, Rachel, was lucky to have met Lyn Ze Bond on my path in life. I joined her band as her drummer, we became the best of friends. I knew there was something Special about this blond-haired, blue-eyed female Lead Guitarist with a passion for life, high-energy Rock music and having fun. I had always wanted to have a killer girl rock band and to travel the world. Lyn Ze had a dream to Rock-n-Roll like no other and nothing could stand in her way. Even though it was just the two of us, (Guitar/Vocals amp; Drums/Vocals), we rocked hard enough for four and always had the crowd wanting more. Lyn Ze knew what she wanted, and wasn't afraid to go after it....no matter what. This bad-ass Female Rocker was the most dedicated, determined, talented, truest musician I have ever met. She was great person who put her heart and soul into everything she did on stage and off the stage. I believe she lived life the way she wanted to, having fun and believing in her Dreams and living them to the fullest extent possible. She always had a smile on her face and lived to play music, travel and surf. Lyn Ze just wanted her music to be heard and to make the people smile. Help keep her dream alive.
