STORYBOOK THEATER COMPANY ANNOUNCES PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF “THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES” AND “RIKKI TIKKI TAVI”

October 2, 2006-DeLAND—Storybook Theater Company, the educational touring company of The Sands Theater Center in DeLand, will be presenting public performances of two of their school touring shows on consecutive weekends.

On October 14 and 15 at 2:30 PM, “The Emperor’s New Clothes” will be presented in the Black Box Theater at 600 N. Woodland Blvd.

This comic romp will delight the whole family while showing how important it is to work hard, be nice, and not be too vain!

On October 21 and 22 at 2:30 PM, Darlene J. Stewart’s adaptation of “Rikki Tikki Tavi” will be performed with music and puppetry. This colorful show features 10 ft snake puppets, and East Indian costumes. Be sure to come see this lively adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
Seating is general admission, and the house will be opening at 2 PM.
