Several local Highwaymen Art collectors will be sharing favorite paintings from their personal collections at Neighbor To Family’s Highwaymen
Collectors Showcase, November 9-11, 2006 at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach, Florida.
More than 30 pieces will be on display at The Casements, including work by Harold Newton, Alfred Hair, Al Black, and lesser-known Highwaymen such as Cornell Smith and Charles Walker. Admission is free, with donations accepted to benefit Neighbor To Family, Inc.’s local foster care services. The Showcase will also offer several pieces of Highwaymen and Highwaymen-style art in a silent auction; in addition, a drawing will be held for a Sam Newton original oil painting. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. The winner does not need to be present to win.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9:
7:15 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. - Exhibition Open to public
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10:
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Exhibition open to public
Noon: “Preserving and Restoring Your Artwork” - Bonnie McNamara, Pruet Conservation Studio, Geneva FL. Following her presentation, Mrs. McNamara will, for a donation to Neighbor To Family, Inc., assess your artwork and recommend specific procedures for preservation and restoration.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11:
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Exhibition open to public
1:00 p.m. – “Florida’s Highwaymen: Legendary Landscapes” - Bob Beatty, Orange County Regional History Center
Copies of Mr. Beatty’s book will be available for purchase.
2:45 p.m. – Drawing and silent auction results
